Feature layers

Feature layers allow you to import visual layers that can be viewed within the client application. Feature layers can also be converted into activity areas within the XECUTE client application.

The feature layer import supports various file formats of line string and tri-surface data types.

1. Click the Feature Layers icon (shown above). The Manage Feature Layers screen displays.
2. Click Green + to add a Feature Layer configuration item.
   
3. In the Name field, enter the name of the Feature Layer as it will appear in XECUTE.
4. Select the Spatial Domain to assign the feature layer to.
5. Click the Ellipsis button in File Name field to browse for the feature layer file.
6. The default data source for the site will be used as the model repository save location. Click the Data Source Ellipsis button and select an appropriate data source to save the feature layer to.
7. After a file has been imported to a data source you can define whether the layer is available, choose to override the display colour and select the colour for the layer to be displayed. When completed, click Save .
